Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full data platform, including ingestion, modeling, self-service, build standards, documentation, governance, and visualization.
- Design and build reliable, scalable, performant streaming and batch data architectures and flows.
- Design and implement the IoT data model for machine sensors, digital UI interactions, and beverage consumption.
- Build governed self-service capabilities with permissioning, peer review, production-readiness standards, and end-to-end lineage.
- Develop AI data access patterns, governance, and guardrails for LLMs and AI agents.
- Evolve monitoring, alerting, observability, data quality, privacy, security, and change-management practices.
- Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Product, Operations, and Data Science teams on production-ready data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the Data & Data Science organization.
- Evaluate emerging data technologies and recommend strategic improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform engineering, including ownership of a full production data platform.
- Expertise with Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and a modern BI layer such as Looker.
- Experience designing or governing access patterns for LLMs and AI agents querying structured data.
- Deep hands-on experience with streaming and batch pipelines at scale, such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or InfluxDB.
- Experience designing governance models, permission systems, review workflows, production-readiness gates, observability, lineage, and data quality tracking.
- Strong SQL and Python skills with a record of independently delivering ambiguous cross-functional initiatives to production.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving innovation within high-performing data teams.
