Base Salary

$102k - $156k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop computer vision and machine learning algorithms for real-time automated target recognition, including object detection, classification, localization, and tracking.
  • Perform visual imagery data science to guide data collection, labeling, dataset selection, and training of deep computer vision models.
  • Analyze algorithms, define objectives and progress metrics, select data representations, evaluate errors, and design experiments to improve model performance.
  • Write and test software integrating machine learning algorithms into aircraft systems and other platforms.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, algorithm design, prototyping, testing and evaluation, and validation and verification activities.
  • Support experimentation and fielded systems with occasional domestic and international travel, up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related science or engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant machine learning and/or computer vision experience; the posting specifies 2–5 years of relevant computer vision experience.
  • Familiarity with Python and C/C++ and proficiency with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch.
  • Proficiency with OpenCV, scikit-learn, and pandas, plus familiarity with Linux.
  • Familiarity with Nvidia CUDA, JetPack, TensorRT, Nvidia GPU deployment, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, optimize algorithms, and perform exploratory data analysis on large datasets.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision, collaborate effectively, communicate well, solve problems, and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • U.S. citizenship, an active Secret-level-or-higher DoD security clearance, and willingness and ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS are required.
