Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop computer vision and machine learning algorithms for object detection, classification, localization, and tracking from UAV camera payloads.
- Write and test software integrating machine learning algorithms into aircraft, autopilots, payloads, and robotic systems.
- Explore, visualize, clean, transform, and analyze datasets and identify distribution differences affecting model performance.
- Implement machine learning systems and validate designs through experiments, tests, and real-world deployment analysis.
- Develop models, objectives, progress metrics, and strategies to address model errors.
- Research and implement appropriate machine learning algorithms, tools, datasets, and data representations.
- Analyze and rank algorithms, perform predictive and exploratory analyses, and select hardware capable of meeting model-latency requirements.
- Manage hardware, data, and personnel resources to meet deadlines.
- Support requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, test and evaluation, and verification and validation activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer vision, machine learning, mathematics, optimization, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with C/C++ and MATLAB.
- Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras.
- Proficiency with Python and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn and pandas.
- Proficiency with OpenCV and familiarity with Linux.
- Experience visualizing and manipulating large datasets, selecting ML hardware, and applying computational statistics, mathematical optimization, data mining, exploratory data analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- U.S. citizenship is required; applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an export license.
- Must be willing to work on government contracts and able to obtain a security clearance.
