Staff Engineer (Credit Team)
Trend MicroResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based product credit, licensing, and entitlement systems using Go, Python, and C#.
- Build and optimize systems that process large volumes of data securely and efficiently.
- Evaluate legacy architecture and lead large-scale refactoring and module consolidation.
- Manage and optimize SQL databases, including query performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Tune caching strategies and processing pipelines for high-concurrency workflows.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents and technical issues.
- Promote CI/CD, automated testing, observability, distributed tracing, and clean code practices.
- Mentor junior and senior engineers and promote continuous technical growth.
- Champion AI-native development workflows using modern coding assistants and agentic developer tools.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 2+ years serving in a tech lead or Staff Engineer capacity while leading engineering initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and C#.
- Strong knowledge of SQL database design and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration testing, TDD, APM, and distributed tracing.
- Ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
