Responsibilities
- Design and evolve telemetry systems spanning global edge ingestion, processing, querying, and customer delivery.
- Improve observability, SLOs, deployment safety, and production resilience across the data platform.
- Build an AI-native semantic layer and agentic natural-language data experiences.
- Develop high-throughput ingestion, processing, storage, query, routing, and delivery systems.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, shape architecture through design reviews, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems, including significant Staff-level or equivalent technical scope.
- Strong production coding ability in one or more of Go, Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience designing reliable systems at scale, including observability, SLOs, incident response, and safe cloud deployment.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, HTTP/2, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, high-throughput data pipelines, and Parquet.
- Demonstrated cross-team technical leadership and experience influencing architecture and design decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in LLM-based systems, semantic layers, or AI data modeling.
- BSCS or equivalent required; MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred.
