Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the ADAS software update and OTA strategy, system architecture, requirements, specifications, and behavioral models from concept through production.
- Ensure ADAS update functionality meets corporate software update specifications, architecture requirements, networking standards, diagnostic standards, and safety and security requirements.
- Evaluate specifications and ECU architectures, identify gaps, and translate system-level use cases into implementable requirements for software and hardware teams.
- Partner with software engineers, D&R engineers, suppliers, Cloud Operations, and Systems teams to guide implementation and resolve technical ambiguities.
- Lead or support anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, supplier deliverable reviews, and lifecycle issue triage.
- Define validation criteria and maintain architecture decisions, specifications, traceability artifacts, and validation outcomes.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and functional safety teams on rollback, integrity checks, authentication, and other update mechanisms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of systems engineering, embedded software, or automotive electronics experience with responsibility for software update or OTA systems.
- Experience owning system requirements from concept through production using formal systems engineering methods and requirements management tools such as DOORS or similar.
- Strong understanding of OTA architectures, including update sequencing, dependency management, rollback strategies, and multi-ECU coordination.
- Working knowledge of UDS, CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet-based automotive networks, ISO 15765, and DoIP.
- Familiarity with ECU architecture and embedded software constraints, including memory, bootloader design, and flash or partitioning strategies.
- Experience partnering with software or controls engineers, reviewing supplier deliverables, resolving requirements ambiguities, and maintaining architecture and traceability documentation.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, ADAS or safety-critical automotive experience, complex OTA systems experience, cloud-based OTA campaign management, vehicle build launch release engineering, root-cause analysis, and Agile/SAFe automotive development experience.
