Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the MSCI Index Development Platform and IndexMetrics Real-Time application.
- Design and advance AI-enabled research infrastructure, developer tooling, and modeling frameworks.
- Evaluate emerging AI-assisted development tools and establish organizational best practices.
- Deliver training and technical guidance to engineering and research teams on AI-enabled software development.
- Contribute to factor investing and alternative data research through implementation, client engagement, and product delivery.
Requirements
- Excellent Python software development skills, including experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to evaluate AI-generated code, identify defects, and deliver maintainable solutions.
- Understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, or quantitative investment processes, or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across research, engineering, and business teams.
- Experience with reusable software libraries, frameworks, APIs, or developer platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices is a plus.
