Responsibilities
- Support, enhance, and maintain Aptiv’s web-based automotive business intelligence tool.
- Investigate, identify root causes, and resolve production issues across distributed systems and legacy codebases.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, developers, and users to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
- Develop and execute acceptance test plans to validate fixes and enhancements against customer expectations.
- Improve system reliability, performance, support capabilities, and development efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
- 6 to 13 years of experience in web application software development.
- Backend development experience using Java or Golang.
- Experience building microservices using Service Oriented Architecture.
- Ability to independently navigate legacy code, investigate issues, debug, and resolve problems with limited documentation.
- Experience with software testing, including unit testing frameworks, debugging tools, performance profiling, and system optimization.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to document and explain technical concepts.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot and Struts.
- Preferred frontend experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Preferred familiarity with database schema design, SQL, Domain-Driven Design, and large datasets.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and other modern development tools is preferred.
