Base Salary
$107k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide technical direction and contribute hands-on to the design and implementation of scalable, containerized Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Architect and develop backend systems using Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design and implement high-performance APIs and integrations with enterprise control systems.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers on APIs supporting React, Angular, and micro-frontend applications.
- Implement data access layers with Hibernate and JPA and manage caching with Redis or other caching frameworks.
- Apply test-first development practices and ensure quality through code reviews, static analysis, and performance optimization.
- Lead or contribute to technical projects and explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of hands-on software development experience building and designing robust backend systems.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot, or modern frontend frameworks such as React and Angular.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience leading technical projects or serving as a technical lead for a development team.
- Understanding of software architecture, microservice design patterns, and RESTful API development practices.
- Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, Hibernate, JPA, Redis, or comparable data and caching technologies.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in financial services or another large, complex global environment is highly desirable.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
