Responsibilities
- Develop detailed architecture deliverables that solve business problems and support digital twin, simulation, and autonomy applications.
- Design application technical infrastructure, including databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
- Define machine, jobsite/environment, and sensor twin architectures that are simulation-ready, physically based, versioned, and validated against real-world systems.
- Establish asset and scene pipelines that convert CAD, PLM, survey, and reality-capture data into OpenUSD assets and environments for NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and Unreal Engine.
- Define data models and pipelines connecting digital twins to machine telemetry and fleet data for operational representation, event replay, and validation.
- Create validation and correlation programs covering test-data correlation, scenario-based testing, regression testing, telematics comparison, and sim-to-real metrics.
- Develop synthetic-data, neural-reconstruction, and real-to-sim workflows using techniques such as 3D Gaussian Splatting and NeRF.
- Lead evaluation and deployment of new technologies and guide engineering teams through implementation plans, reusable patterns, and standards.
- Collaborate with simulation, AI Factory, and cross-functional teams to address business requirements and deliver digital solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required; a master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.
- Experience delivering physically based digital twins for machines, vehicles, robots, or industrial sites used in simulation, validation, or AI training is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Kit, Isaac Sim, Replicator, Nucleus, OpenUSD, USD Physics, SimReady assets, and CAD-to-USD conversion is preferred.
- Experience with multibody dynamics, articulations, hydraulics, powertrain, implement-material interaction, model calibration, and system identification is preferred.
- Experience building terrain, jobsite, and geospatial twins from drone photogrammetry, LiDAR, survey, design surfaces, and GIS data is preferred.
