Responsibilities
- Develop and support full-stack applications and automation tools for physical operations and trading desks.
- Rapidly prototype solutions by gathering and incorporating feedback from operations and commercial teams.
- Analyze business and user requirements and independently manage project lifecycles from end to end.
- Recommend innovative and reliable technical solutions that improve processes and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop expertise in Vitol’s MIS platforms and tools and integrate solutions with existing capabilities.
- Build, maintain, and optimize relational SQL databases.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams and organizational boundaries.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree.
- At least 3 years of full-stack Python and backend development experience, ideally including .NET and C#.
- At least 3 years of full-stack TypeScript and React development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of ORM and API frameworks.
- Mandatory experience with Python libraries including FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
- Proven experience using advanced agentic workflow tools within a software development lifecycle, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode.
- Experience with C# Entity Framework is preferred.
- Experience with agentic workflow tools such as Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work, OpenWork, n8n, or CrewAI is preferred.
- Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing relational SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Strong interest in commodity markets and physical operations is preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship management, problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
