Base Salary
$80k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Elasticsearch clusters for high availability, scalability, search relevance, and performance.
- Build data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data entering Elasticsearch.
- Implement Elasticsearch security, authentication, and role-based access controls.
- Develop Linux shell scripts to automate deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Configure and maintain Linux-based environments and troubleshoot server, disk, memory, and performance issues.
- Monitor cluster health and use Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and Datadog for visualization, logging, alerting, and analysis.
- Develop and maintain Java applications integrating with Elasticsearch using Spring Boot, Spring Data Elasticsearch, and Elasticsearch client libraries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master’s degree in Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of Elasticsearch internals, including sharding, indexing, queries, aggregations, security, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch clusters, Elastic Stack tools, Linux system administration, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Strong Java experience, including Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Experience with Elasticsearch client libraries, including the Java High-Level REST Client and Spring Data Elasticsearch.
- Experience or exposure to log analysis, monitoring, alerting, process scheduling, log management, and Linux resource optimization.
- English proficiency at the required C2 level.
- Preferred or listed certifications include BUILD-IT/JAVA from Genpact and Oracle Certified Professional.
