Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and maintain end-to-end test automation suites using Playwright with Python.
- Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions to create pre-deployment quality gates and weekly bug-detection scripts.
- Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-functional requirements during Jira refinement sessions.
- Establish bug severity rules, improve staging environments, and make final go/no-go release decisions.
- Design and execute manual test plans covering cross-device, cross-browser, usability, and performance testing for frontend, APIs, and backend systems.
- Challenge user stories, pull requests, and test coverage while coaching developers on quality ownership.
- Help refine the Definition of Done and reduce post-release bugs and regression defects.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software quality assurance experience focused on web application test automation.
- Hands-on experience creating automation frameworks with Playwright and Python bindings preferred, or Cypress.
- Practical experience configuring automated CI/CD quality pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-assisted testing and development tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI test-generation tools.
- Strong experience in Agile Scrum environments, including acceptance-criteria writing and edge-case discovery.
- Understanding of web architectures and e-commerce platforms; Python-based backends or Odoo experience is advantageous.
- Ability to balance automated test development with manual release testing and strategy.
- Strong English communication, multitasking, coaching, and process-improvement skills.
