Responsibilities

Own complex software features and services from design through deployment.
Build, deploy, monitor, and maintain production services in AWS.
Design and develop TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and REST-based software.
Write unit, integration, contract, and other automated tests using Jest and Pact.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
Monitor services and debug production issues using DataDog.
Develop within event-driven architectures and take responsibility for system health, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and QAs to refine requirements and technical solutions.
Review code, share knowledge, mentor less experienced engineers, and improve engineering standards.
Use AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity, architectural decisions, and code robustness.

At least 5 years of software development experience.
Strong TypeScript experience with Node.js and React, plus excellent JavaScript fundamentals.
Experience building and operating production systems in AWS, including EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
Experience designing and building GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
Practical knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
Deep knowledge of automated testing with Jest, Pact, and TDD principles.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Terraform.
Experience using DataDog or a similar tool for service monitoring and production debugging.
Experience working in Agile environments with Git, Jira, and Confluence.
Pragmatic, product-focused problem-solving and end-to-end ownership.
Demonstrated continuous use of AI-assisted tooling.
