Responsibilities
- Own complex software features and services from design through deployment.
- Build, deploy, monitor, and maintain production services in AWS.
- Design and develop TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and REST-based software.
- Write unit, integration, contract, and other automated tests using Jest and Pact.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- Monitor services and debug production issues using DataDog.
- Develop within event-driven architectures and take responsibility for system health, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and QAs to refine requirements and technical solutions.
- Review code, share knowledge, mentor less experienced engineers, and improve engineering standards.
- Use AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity, architectural decisions, and code robustness.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong TypeScript experience with Node.js and React, plus excellent JavaScript fundamentals.
- Experience building and operating production systems in AWS, including EKS, Lambda, and RDS.
- Experience designing and building GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Practical knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and event-driven architecture.
- Deep knowledge of automated testing with Jest, Pact, and TDD principles.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- Experience using DataDog or a similar tool for service monitoring and production debugging.
- Experience working in Agile environments with Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Pragmatic, product-focused problem-solving and end-to-end ownership.
- Demonstrated continuous use of AI-assisted tooling.
