Base Salary
$110k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build fast, responsive, and thoughtful user interfaces for Metabase’s data analytics product.
- Develop interactive data visualizations, including custom maps, data tables, annotations, and dashboard experiences.
- Improve product wayfinding and surface important metrics or segments to the right users.
- Build and enhance embedded analytics experiences that integrate visually with customer products.
- Adapt and integrate code within a large, complex JavaScript codebase.
- Write performant code, tests, CSS, and proposals for complex technical problems.
- Use and improve style guides, design systems, and component libraries, and provide constructive code review feedback.
Requirements
- Prior experience shipping non-trivial applications using React and Redux or equivalent.
- Strong React and JavaScript knowledge, including experience working on a large and complex JavaScript project.
- Experience writing tests and providing useful feedback on other people’s code.
- Ability to write fast, performant code and regularly work with data structure manipulation.
- Comfort with CSS and familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
- Strong communication and clarity in a remote, asynchronous work environment.
- Experience with data visualization, especially dc.js and d3.js, is preferred.
- Open-source contributions and knowledge of or interest in learning Clojure are preferred.
