Base Salary
$300k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect security patterns for platforms and services, including network segmentation, service-to-service authentication, RBAC, and policy enforcement in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
- Manage workload and cross-cloud identity, least-privilege IAM, secrets, and access for humans and services.
- Build secure platforms for data ingestion, processing, curation, classification, encryption, access control, and safe data sharing.
- Create threat models and review designs with researchers and engineers.
- Automate security checks and build policy-as-code, secure infrastructure baselines, CI/CD validation, and secure-by-default tooling.
- Own and evolve reliable, scalable security infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and data platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a similar field.
- Strong experience with containers, Kubernetes orchestration, and Kubernetes security controls such as namespaces, network policies, pod security, and admission controls.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools to provision networks, IAM, and shared services securely.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and security, including VPCs, load balancers, service discovery, mTLS, firewalls, and zero-trust architectures.
- Proficiency in a systems language such as Rust and scripting in Python for platform components and internal tools.
- Experience owning complex, production-critical systems and debugging issues across infrastructure, security, and application layers.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with ML infrastructure, GPU clusters, large-scale training environments, AI labs, HPC environments, high-throughput systems, specialized hardware security, infrastructure security or distributed-systems publications, and open-source contributions.
