Base Salary

$129k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Support cybersecurity assessments for government sponsors and mission partners.
  • Develop cybersecurity assessment methodologies and automation capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain automation solutions that improve cybersecurity assessment efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze risks and recommend improvements to system security, resilience, and compliance.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing and communicate risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Document technical findings, prepare reports, and present assessment results to sponsors, stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with MITRE, government sponsors, contractors, and other stakeholders on cybersecurity and mission needs.
  • Promote collaboration across the department and MITRE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, assessment, testing, or automation.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, scripting, or automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience developing software, scripts, or automation solutions using Python, Java, C++, C#, or another programming language.
  • Ability to analyze technical systems, identify security risks, and communicate findings through reports and technical documentation.
  • A security certification such as Security+, Network+, CEH, or AWS Cloud Practitioner, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Active Top Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
  • Preferred master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred 8 years of experience in cybersecurity assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, or systems security engineering.
  • Preferred experience with Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nessus, Nmap, or similar tools.
  • Preferred experience supporting offensive and defensive cybersecurity operations.
  • Preferred experience securing, integrating, administering, or assessing enterprise IT environments, networks, cloud platforms, or mission systems.
  • Preferred knowledge of NIST RMF, MITRE ATT&CK, STIGs, or CIS Benchmarks.
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, GPEN, GCIA, GSEC, or comparable credentials.
