Base Salary
$170k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain real-time systems for PnL tracking, VaR and exposure calculations, risk dashboards, analytical tools, alerting, and monitoring.
- Own deployment, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure, environment management, observability, and incident response for risk applications.
- Improve application reliability, performance, availability, latency, and stability during live market hours.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, and debugging.
- Develop applications integrating LLM APIs for automation, analysis, and workflow improvements.
- Build responsive front-end interfaces for visualizing and interacting with risk metrics.
- Collaborate with risk developers, quantitative analysts, and market risk analysts to implement financial risk models.
- Write clean, documented, tested code and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional full-stack development experience, preferably in financial services or proprietary trading.
- Strong Python proficiency for data processing, backend logic, and model integration.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Linux administration, monitoring, and logging tools; Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code experience are a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, agentic development workflows, and safe practical application of these tools.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs, including prompt design, tool or function calling, and evaluation.
- Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and/or NoSQL stores such as Redis.
- Understanding of data structures, APIs, real-time data processing, and real-time data visualization.
- Exposure to quantitative models or collaboration with quants is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
