Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Java applications across HRT modules.
- Design and maintain integrations with external systems such as I9 Tracker and HRSD content management using REST and SOAP services.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into solutions aligned with business and product goals.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and prepare software releases.
- Write maintainable, efficient, and testable code; conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed.
- Investigate complex development and production issues and improve application performance, scalability, and security.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, debugging, unit tests, test case creation, and documentation, and validate generated output before implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and support changing business priorities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose product and development process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on Java experience.
- Hands-on experience with current HTML and JavaScript technologies.
- Knowledge of integrating third-party services through REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with SQL, database management, and relational database concepts.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Proficiency in diagnosing Java application issues and performing performance tuning.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, coding, unit testing, and software development lifecycle skills.
- HCM application domain expertise.
- Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
- Ability to generate and validate AI-assisted code, test cases, debugging output, and documentation for quality, security, maintainability, and coding standards.
- Ability to work across HRT modules, adapt to changing priorities, learn quickly, and communicate effectively in English.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems is preferred.
- Experience optimizing and tuning large-scale distributed systems is preferred.
- Ability to explain complex technical challenges and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders is preferred.
