Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and transform AWS CUR, Azure Billing Exports, and OCI billing data.
- Develop and support REST API endpoints and integrations connecting cloud billing systems, Databricks, and downstream dashboards and reporting tools.
- Partner with FinOps analysts and data analytics teams to implement cost visibility requirements.
- Contribute to anomaly detection, cost optimization, alerts, recommendations, and notifications through email, Microsoft Teams, and ticketing platforms.
- Maintain materialized views, optimize queries, monitor data freshness, and support LLM-based natural-language query features with guardrails and audit logging.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure billing data, including CUR or Azure Billing Exports.
- Proficiency in Python for production-grade APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-provider integrations.
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar data platforms and experience writing and optimizing SQL queries against large datasets.
- Experience with version control, software development best practices, code review, testing, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or equivalent hands-on FinOps experience is preferred.
- Experience with AWS CUR, Azure Billing Exports, OCI Billing Data, or FOCUS and exposure to FinOps concepts are preferred.
- Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM APIs into production systems, including guardrails and safety controls, is preferred.
- Exposure to ServiceNow workflow automation or Microsoft Teams bot/webhook integrations is preferred.
