Responsibilities
- Develop, train, validate, evaluate, deploy, and monitor machine learning models for reviewing healthcare reimbursement claims.
- Build and maintain Python training and inference pipelines and improve model quality using measures such as precision and recall.
- Work with subject-matter experts to identify new anomaly patterns and further develop the models.
- Maintain and extend the Java module used to validate and statistically assess inpatient healthcare claims.
- Implement new validation rules and optimize existing validation logic while ensuring performance, maintainability, and test coverage.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, data science, or a comparable field with corresponding professional experience.
- Experience developing machine learning or statistical models, ideally for anomaly or fraud detection.
- Good Python skills and experience with common machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Good practical knowledge of Java, Java frameworks, Spring Framework, and Maven.
- Initial experience with Jenkins, Git, and database systems is advantageous.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or AI-based code reviews.
- Knowledge of health insurance or healthcare is advantageous, or willingness to learn the relevant subject matter.
- Good communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork.
