Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features within Axon Device Manager, Axon Device Check Out, and Fleet 3 Dashboard.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to create integrated mobile solutions.
- Provide guidance on current Android technologies as mobile applications are deployed to market.
- Lead mobile design reviews and implement designs through release and post-release monitoring.
- Set a high technical bar through code and design reviews.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of industry experience shipping Android applications to the Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of mobile phones and experience with mobile design reviews, implementation, release, and post-release monitoring.
- Experience with modern Android architectures such as MVVM or MVI, including unit testing.
- Experience with Retrofit, Coroutines, OkHttp, Hilt, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
- Understanding of networking protocols including TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, Server-Sent Events, and WebSockets.
- Wireshark or Charles debugging experience is a plus.
- Experience with Bluetooth, WiFi, networking, camera, audio, file management, or third-party hardware integrations is desirable.
- Experience with video streaming and IoT devices or connectivity over BLE or WiFi is desirable.
