Responsibilities
- Design and build Fortnox’s next-generation secure Kafka data platform.
- Guide the platform from initial design through completed production environments.
- Work with Strimzi on Kubernetes, mTLS/SASL, ACLs, and Schema Registry.
- Collaborate with teams that produce and consume data from Kafka clusters.
- Enable smooth transitions without disrupting existing integrations.
- Drive governance, auditing, monitoring, and scalable platform practices.
- Lead architectural changes and guide colleagues through complex technical transformations.
- Share knowledge and build strong collaboration across the organization.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a technically leading role.
- Experience with Kafka at scale and a strong understanding of mTLS, SASL, and ACLs.
- Experience with Kafka Connect and Schema Registry, plus a solid foundational understanding of Kubernetes.
- Ability to drive architectural changes and guide colleagues through complex technical transitions.
- Strong pedagogical communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Kafka Streams or PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
