Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise alignment and adoption of AI/machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation across federated engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Define and maintain scalable reference architectures, implementation patterns, standards, shared tooling, accelerators, and reusable capabilities.
  • Provide advisory support and constructive challenge on design decisions, implementation quality, operational readiness, and enterprise architecture alignment.
  • Establish Responsible AI governance covering ethical AI use, bias mitigation, data quality, lifecycle management, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
  • Promote secure, resilient, and scalable engineering practices across cloud-based architectures, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Lead communities of practice, facilitate knowledge sharing, and drive capability uplift and continuous improvement.
  • Guide adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development and automation tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple teams in a large, complex organization without direct authority.
  • Experience in an enterprise enablement function or Center of Excellence focused on standards, governance, and scaled adoption.
  • Strong understanding of AI/machine learning, generative AI including large and small language models, natural language processing, and intelligent automation.
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, software development life cycle, scalable system design, and operational resilience.
  • Experience designing or governing enterprise-scale cloud architectures using APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
  • Experience defining and embedding Responsible AI governance, including bias mitigation, data quality, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Preferred experience developing AI-enabled reference architectures, reusable patterns, adoption metrics, governance mechanisms, and communities of practice.
  • Preferred familiarity with large-scale data pipelines, preprocessing, production performance optimization, executive communication, facilitation, and translating strategy into standards and playbooks.
