Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise across the software lifecycle, including design, implementation, and delivery.
  • Build automation and self-service tools for Apache Cassandra across private and public clouds.
  • Develop frameworks that improve developer and release velocity, code health, and technical standards.
  • Deliver a consumer-driven Cassandra platform for critical JPMorganChase systems.
  • Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure architecture analysis and delivery automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to align strategies, solve complex problems, and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience with cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
  • Software development experience with one or more general-purpose languages or technologies including Java, Python, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Salt.
  • Advanced experience in at least two areas including web application development, databases, Unix/Linux, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large-scale software development, or security software development.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack and Ansible, plus basic Linux configuration and operations knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Database Reliability Engineering concepts.
  • Understanding or experience with agile and lean philosophies, along with strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: UI/UX development experience, open-source contributions, and expertise designing, implementing, and optimizing DynamoDB solutions including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
