Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software solutions using Java, Kotlin, Spring, and RESTful APIs.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and other software development lifecycle activities.
- Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate platform functions across business domains and define system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
- Analyze and resolve complex business and system problems using industry standards and architectural best practices.
- Establish coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards aligned with the overall architecture.
- Develop expertise in how architecture, infrastructure, and business areas integrate to achieve goals.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess and manage risks, support regulatory and policy compliance, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant application development experience as a Java backend developer.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, real-time messaging, Hibernate, and associated Java frameworks.
- Experience developing products with RESTful APIs and microservices-based architecture.
- Knowledge of document storage solutions such as MongoDB and relational databases including PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Knowledge of ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, and Redux.
- Exposure to Kotlin is a major plus.
- Deep understanding of technology and industry best practices, software architecture, and tradeoff analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, debugging, written communication, verbal communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
