Responsibilities
- Own and develop Developer Experience services including source control, build artifact repositories, AI-powered development tools, and other software delivery tooling.
- Support internal engineering teams through a scheduled UK business-hours rotation, diagnosing complex systems and CI workflow issues.
- Manage centralized Kubernetes infrastructure and support containerized applications.
- Improve the reliability, performance, observability, and alerting of firm-wide critical infrastructure and developer tooling.
- Manage and scale cloud and on-premise services using infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders, trading teams, and developers to improve software delivery capabilities.
- Educate users, conduct tool demonstrations, and maintain self-service documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience debugging and triaging complex systems.
- Experience using configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform.
- Experience managing highly available Linux systems in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Experience supporting containerized applications with Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Helm.
- Experience providing direct support to internal engineers and demonstrating customer empathy.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience building and owning high-quality solutions throughout their lifecycle is preferred.
- Experience building tools that measurably improve developer experience and productivity is preferred.
