Responsibilities
- Architect and provide lead support for electronic payment systems and PIN/debit transaction traffic.
- Modify systems to deliver new payment features and functions.
- Create processes and procedures for payment-system operations, patching, role swaps, disaster recovery, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Manage third-party vendors and coordinate application and system upgrade roadmaps with business teams.
- Troubleshoot payment-processing issues for PIN and debit transactions with production support teams.
- Create and maintain three-year system roadmaps and review payment-system design flows.
- Ensure payment systems comply with PCI standards and internal regulations.
- Provide scheduled after-hours and 24x7 on-call support as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with electronic payment systems, transaction-processing systems, AES-secured and encrypted network communications, HSM or KSM encryption-key management, Base24 Classic, Base24-eps or Lusis Tango, ISO 8583 message formats, global card schemes, card-scheme simulators, and large-scale ATM testing involving NCR, Diebold, or Hyosung.
- At least 2 years of experience leading the architecture and implementation of card payment systems, EMV card standards and ATM/POS payment systems, NDC+/DDC message formats, and Fiserv Star and Optis network schemes.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; HSBC will not engage in immigration sponsorship for this position.
