Base Salary
$164k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the direction and initiatives for the Developer Productivity team and platform.
- Build automated bootstrapping, build, testing, and delivery pipelines across SaaS, mobile, and embedded/IoT products.
- Develop self-service engineering technologies and improve local development environments.
- Build self-healing infrastructure that enables fast and robust automated testing.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and release processes of existing systems.
- Create reproducible builds and streamline microservice creation mechanisms.
- Lead Brown Bag sessions, demos, and other activities to drive adoption and collaboration.
- Coach and mentor engineers and collaborate on technical designs.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipeline solutions such as Tekton, Prow, CircleCI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience improving software development lifecycle release processes, developer experience, local environments, and reproducible builds.
- Expertise with Git flow and versioning strategies and experience with large-scale distributed release management.
- Experience with Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
- Experience working with containerized systems and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience with Gerrit, Android Open Source Project build systems, and embedded systems builds and compiles.
