Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls for QRT’s global technology infrastructure.
- Work with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Network Operations teams to embed security into engineering and operations.
- Help prevent, detect, and respond to vulnerabilities and security incidents.
- Contribute to vulnerability management, security tooling, and organization-wide security awareness initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and optimize designs for performance, resource usage, and power efficiency.
Requirements
- Be a penultimate- or final-year student completing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD.
- Demonstrate interest in technology and engineering through software or hardware projects, including academic, personal, or hobby projects.
- Understand foundational security principles and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, password management, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Have programming or scripting experience, preferably with Python or Bash.
- Have experience with Linux command-line tools and Linux/Unix system administration fundamentals, particularly RedHat/CentOS.
- Understand networking concepts including TCP/IP and Ethernet.
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, curiosity, initiative, self-motivation, and a results-driven approach.
- Complete a technical coding assessment and participate in interviews conducted on-site or via Microsoft Teams.
