Base Salary

$225k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and implement data processing technologies, sourcing and delivery systems, pipelines, tools, and libraries.
Build scalable ingestion and distribution systems and fault-tolerant, production-critical data pipelines.
Support trading operations and research through reliable delivery of high-quality data.
Lead complex projects from requirements gathering and software design through delivery and stakeholder communication.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and development support to engineering and research staff.
Help define the team’s technical roadmap and contribute to engineering culture and productivity.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
Proven software design and implementation experience focused on correctness, robustness, efficiency, and scale.
Experience working with large codebases and building modular, extensible, and maintainable software.
Expertise in a modern programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
Hands-on experience developing in a Linux/UNIX environment.
Experience designing and implementing scalable services, highly available systems, and/or robust data infrastructure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and simply.
Preferred: experience with PostgreSQL, Artifactory, Ceph, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, or Slurm.
