Base Salary
$171k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions, algorithms, frameworks, and architectures.
- Implement and tune AI and machine learning models for performance and accuracy.
- Conduct applied research involving computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and explainability.
- Prepare data and perform data engineering and feature engineering for AI workloads.
- Support hardware-software integration and system-level deployment of scalable AI solutions.
- Collaborate with internal product teams and external partners on AI software projects.
- Learn and build skills through hands-on internship projects supporting Intel business goals.
Requirements
- Be a PhD candidate in an accredited engineering or computer science program with an emphasis on artificial intelligence.
- Have research or coursework related to federated learning, image classification, multiscale attention for object detection, computer vision, image processing, or feature engineering.
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate academic success.
- Have research or coursework involving explainability tools, data engineering, feature engineering, data imbalance, or noisy datasets.
- Demonstrate knowledge of linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
- Have experience or skills with Python, C++, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV.
- Be familiar with Git, cloud concepts, containers, Docker, and MLOps.
- Preferred qualifications include production AI deployment experience, semiconductor-industry experience, first-author publications in CVPR, ICCV, or NeurIPS, and a portfolio of computer vision or image AI projects.
