Responsibilities
- Design performance test models and production-like load scenarios with development teams.
- Execute and analyze load, stress, stability, and chaos tests to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot issues, support defect resolution, and verify performance fixes with developers and engineers.
- Provide technical guidance to improve application performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Own the performance engineering lifecycle, define key metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Recommend improvements to performance testing processes, tools, and execution practices.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner Cloud, JMeter, BlazeMeter, NeoLoad, or equivalent platforms.
- Hands-on experience with chaos engineering tools and practices, including Chaos Monkey, Chaos Mesh, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot performance tuning, including thread dump and heap analysis.
- Experience with GCP, AWS, or similar cloud technologies.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience creating dashboards and monitoring application performance with Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to automate performance engineering tasks, shift-left testing, and report generation using AI-assisted workflows beyond basic prompting.
- Practical experience using MCP and integrating AI capabilities through CLI tools or VS Code.
- Strong scripting skills in C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience automating CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Bamboo, Git, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Experience with service virtualization tools such as BlazeMeter or OpenText Service Virtualization.
- Ability to write complex SQL and NoSQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Advanced English is required.
- Retail industry experience is preferred.
