Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Android developer infrastructure, including build tooling, frameworks, and libraries.
- Partner cross-functionally with product teams to identify developer productivity bottlenecks and deliver solutions.
- Participate in and lead design reviews, review code, and contribute to documentation and educational content.
- Triage and resolve product and system issues by analyzing their sources and impact on service operations and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience with Android application development.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
- Development experience with Kotlin or Java.
- Preferred experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
- Preferred experience with build systems and toolchains such as Bazel/Blaze, Gradle, KSP, or annotation processing.
- Preferred experience building developer tools that improve developer velocity, code quality, and code health, including compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, and test automation frameworks.
- Interest in AI-assisted and agentic developer tooling.
