Responsibilities
- Develop neural models for text language identification across diverse scripts, regions, and user contexts.
- Work across the full model lifecycle, including data curation, model design, evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
- Design experiments and implement end-to-end multilingual NLP solutions.
- Improve model accuracy, fairness, robustness, and inference efficiency for low-resource and mixed-language inputs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, engineers, linguists, and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or related fields, including hands-on training and evaluation of neural models.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one major deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience, in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with multilingual, multi-script, or cross-lingual datasets.
- Preferred experience with text classification, language identification, dialect identification, embedding models, sentence representations, contrastive learning, quantization, pruning, knowledge distillation, low-resource languages, code-switching, or mixed-language input.
- Familiarity with the Hugging Face ecosystem and modern NLP pipelines.
- Ability to implement solutions in Python and Bash and communicate effectively across Research, Engineering, and Product teams.
