Base Salary
$100k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of microfrontend modules within Ford’s eCommerce products.
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain reusable front-end components and interfaces with at least 80% code coverage.
- Evaluate application architecture and recommend scalable solutions aligned with Ford’s technology landscape.
- Develop proof of concepts and contribute to the design and deployment of cloud-based solutions.
- Lead and mentor UI developers while promoting engineering best practices, code quality, and modern architectural patterns.
- Apply MACH architecture principles, including microservices, API-first, cloud-native, and headless approaches.
- Improve team autonomy, reduce dependencies, and increase delivery efficiency within the Product Driven Organization model.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and distributed engineering teams to deliver user-centric products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
- Experience leading front-end engineering initiatives, mentoring developers, and implementing microfrontend architectures.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and deploying scalable solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with headless commerce, composable architectures, and API-first development.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG and experience building inclusive digital experiences.
- Experience with observability, performance monitoring, production troubleshooting, proof-of-concept development, and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with globally distributed teams.
- Experience with Product Driven Organization or similar product-centric engineering models is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools and techniques is preferred.
