Base Salary
$100k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of microfrontend modules within Ford’s eCommerce products.
- Design, develop, and optimize reusable front-end components and interfaces while maintaining at least 80% code coverage.
- Evaluate application architecture and recommend scalable solutions for Ford’s evolving technology landscape.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions and contribute to deploying robust cloud-based applications.
- Lead and mentor UI developers while promoting engineering best practices, code quality, and modern architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and distributed engineering teams to deliver user-centric products.
- Apply MACH architecture principles, including microservices, API-first, cloud-native, and headless approaches.
- Drive improvements in team autonomy, dependency reduction, delivery efficiency, accessibility, performance, and production observability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
- Experience leading front-end engineering initiatives and mentoring developers.
- Experience designing and implementing microfrontend architectures within large-scale eCommerce platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and scalable deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, headless commerce, composable architectures, and API-first development.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and experience building inclusive digital experiences.
- Experience with observability, performance monitoring, production troubleshooting, proof-of-concept development, and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and cross-functional partnership skills, including with product managers and architects.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams in a remote environment.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Product Driven Organizations, and AI-powered development tools is desirable.
