Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead development of large-scale software applications and scalable platform improvements.
- Influence architectural decisions involving maintainability, performance, technical debt, and scalability.
- Design and develop high-availability software systems for global operations.
- Own technical initiatives and proactively address challenges using data from support teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical decisions and improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards and best practices.
- Implement quality assurance practices and deliver robust, high-performance software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development, particularly for product applications.
- 5+ years of experience with highly scalable systems.
- Proven experience scaling systems and solving complex system design challenges.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design principles and practices.
- Expertise in API design and RESTful services, including frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.
- Proficiency in relational database design and development.
- In-depth knowledge of quality testing practices.
- Experience with Redis caching systems is a plus.
