Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software for machine learning tools and frameworks.
  • Build solutions for mobile, embedded, and edge machine learning platforms.
  • Work on projects involving AI infrastructure, distributed inference, model serving, compiler technologies, runtime systems, GPU acceleration, and large-scale ML deployment.
  • Optimize machine learning workloads and make models smaller and more efficient for edge devices.
  • Collaborate with researchers, software developers, and internal teams in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Available for an 11–14 week internship during Summer 2027, from May through September.
  • Expected graduation date of November 2027 or later.
  • Preferred candidates are pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. and may have experience with deep neural networks, machine learning algorithms, TensorFlow, TFLite, PyTorch, compiler frameworks, parallel computing, inference systems, distributed computing, runtime systems, GPU programming, CUDA, Kubernetes, MLIR, and ML performance optimization.
  • Additional preferred experience includes model compression, quantization, reinforcement learning, neural architecture search, kernel optimization, federated learning, NLP, computer vision, generative models, ML data pipelines, and object-oriented software design.
  • Research excellence, including publications in NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, or ICCV, is preferred.
