Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Pico’s product range.
- Analyze and process real-time and historical raw and normalized market data and network data.
- Develop high-performance, high-availability multithreaded applications in C++ under Linux.
- Implement automated unit and integration testing.
- Investigate and solve field issues using limited data.
- Collaborate with engineers, follow or create justified design patterns, and explain technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of development experience.
- Expert proficiency in C++ development under Linux.
- Experience with Python, shell scripting, and makefiles.
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
- Experience developing multithreaded applications.
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments and tools such as gdb and valgrind.
- Knowledge of IP networking.
- Ability to write maintainable code, reason through problems, accept feedback, and explain technical decisions.
