Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new features across Pico’s product range.
  • Analyze and process real-time and historical raw and normalized market data and network data.
  • Develop high-performance, high-availability multithreaded applications in C++ under Linux.
  • Implement automated unit and integration testing.
  • Investigate and solve field issues using limited data.
  • Collaborate with engineers, follow or create justified design patterns, and explain technical trade-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of development experience.
  • Expert proficiency in C++ development under Linux.
  • Experience with Python, shell scripting, and makefiles.
  • Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
  • Experience developing multithreaded applications.
  • Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with Linux-based development environments and tools such as gdb and valgrind.
  • Knowledge of IP networking.
  • Ability to write maintainable code, reason through problems, accept feedback, and explain technical decisions.
