Base Salary
$185k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build abstractions and platform-level systems for Harvey’s agentic products.
- Own infrastructure for model integration, routing, and evaluation.
- Build shared evaluation frameworks and tooling for measuring and improving AI quality.
- Develop context-management, session-state, memory, SDK, platform-primitive, and developer-tooling systems.
- Partner with product engineering teams, product managers, and designers to launch AI products.
- Evaluate, prototype, and integrate advancements in AI and agentic systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building backend systems, including at least 1 year focused on AI/ML engineering.
- Experience building and shipping multi-model or multi-provider AI systems in production.
- Familiarity with context management, session state, or memory systems in AI or distributed systems.
- Track record of building internal platforms, SDKs, or shared infrastructure adopted by other engineering teams.
- Strong judgment about abstractions, with a pragmatic approach to incremental delivery and ownership.
- Bonus qualifications include evaluation-framework experience, agent or function-calling architectures, legal or other high-stakes professional-services experience, and experience at early-stage or hyper-growth startups.
