Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack applications using Python, FastAPI, React.js, and TypeScript.
- Own product-domain architecture, including API design, data modeling, frontend component strategy, and architecture decision records.
- Build RESTful and event-driven microservices with attention to reliability, observability, security, and performance.
- Integrate OpenAI and Anthropic/Claude LLM services and use LangChain and LangGraph for production AI applications.
- Develop agentic user interfaces, MCP server tooling, prompt engineering workflows, and AI evaluation frameworks.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment standards, release quality gates, and engineering quality practices.
- Lead architecture discussions, code reviews, mentoring, documentation, and collaboration across Product Management, UX, DevOps/SRE, and QE.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; address technical debt and champion refactoring initiatives.
- Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, PI planning, and architecture governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6–10+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated growth in scope and impact.
- Strong Python proficiency and production experience with FastAPI or a comparable asynchronous web framework.
- Strong React.js and TypeScript expertise, including modern state management with Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, relational and NoSQL data stores, and ORMs.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Docker with basic Kubernetes knowledge.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud-native deployment patterns; OCI experience is a plus.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered product features; LangChain and LangGraph experience is preferred.
- Experience with JWT/OAuth2 authentication patterns and API security best practices.
- Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search, including pgvector, Pinecone, or Weaviate, is preferred.
- Experience with WebSockets, SSE, or streaming APIs is preferred.
- Entertainment, media, payroll, or fintech experience and SAFe/Agile Release Train planning familiarity are preferred.
- Ability to participate in on-call support, occasional early-morning or evening meetings, and extended computer workstation use.
