Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for energy measurement and monitoring algorithms.
- Develop automated test frameworks using Python, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Validate algorithm accuracy against IEC 61557-12, IEC 61000-4-7, and other relevant industry standards.
- Create synthetic test signals and scenarios for comprehensive validation.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and document findings.
- Collaborate with algorithm developers to ensure correctness and performance.
- Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate test development and analysis.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in embedded test automation and validation using Python.
- Strong Python programming skills with NumPy and SciPy.
- Background in embedded systems testing and understanding of voltage, current, power, and harmonics.
- Basic signal processing knowledge, including filtering and frequency analysis.
- Experience with pytest, unittest, and Git.
- Comfort using AI agents such as GitHub Copilot and Claude.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and independent-work skills.
- Familiarity with IEC standards for energy measurement and three-phase power systems is preferred.
