
AES - SW Engineer - System
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Review software specifications, architecture, and design documents and create component designs.
- Develop, modify, port, debug, and maintain embedded software components using C/C++ and Linux.
- Resolve unclear requirements and technical issues with internal, external, and customer stakeholders.
- Perform code reviews, functional testing, unit testing, and system-level testing.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, implement fixes, and verify their effectiveness.
- Analyze product requirements, performance issues, risks, and KPIs and propose solutions.
- Participate in internal and customer-driven design reviews and coordinate software development activities.
- Communicate with HARMAN teams and occasionally travel for training or coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant IT-connected specialization.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with C/C++ knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux architecture and experience developing embedded applications.
- Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, and socket communication.
- Extended knowledge of software development processes and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel 0–20% of the time depending on project needs.
- Preferred qualifications include networking knowledge, automotive experience, UML, Linux kernel experience, and embedded power management, logging, and communication protocol knowledge.
