Base Salary

$86k - $144k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Stabilize production environments and sites through site design consulting, platform management, capacity planning, analytics, and metrics.
  • Create and implement dashboards and monitoring systems for applications, service sites, and platforms.
  • Establish and coordinate SLAs and SLOs using robust monitoring practices.
  • Analyze operating-site and application metrics for performance tuning and fault finding.
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, conduct root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems, and reduce mean time to resolution.
  • Support testing strategies, emergency response, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement in incident management.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on infrastructure management and disaster recovery best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
  • Knowledge of application development, application design and maintenance, software reliability management, system testing, technical troubleshooting, architecture, and software process improvement.
  • Ability to manage risk, analyze complex systems, respond to incidents, and improve operational processes.
  • A comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may substitute for a degree.
  • Certifications are often desired, but no certification or license is required.
