Responsibilities
- Implement control-plane and data-plane features for efficient packet processing.
- Define system architecture and design patterns with the Software Tech Lead.
- Optimize firmware for low-latency and high-throughput operation.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams for service integration.
- Develop and maintain secure APIs for internal and external use.
- Enhance logging and debugging capabilities for system observability.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with networking security standards.
- Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in Wi-Fi Access point development.
- Experience with Wi-Fi, 802.11, WLAN, and BLE protocols and chipsets.
- Strong programming skills in C and shell scripting; Go, Rust, or Zig experience is a plus.
- Experience with OpenWRT and open-source networking firmware is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of Linux networking subsystems and kernel-level development.
- Expertise in packet flow in Linux and OpenWRT systems.
- Experience with debugging and optimizing enterprise Wi-Fi performance.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
