Responsibilities
- Own software solutions deployed to customers and develop frontend capabilities for end-to-end mission systems.
- Build operator displays, control interfaces, mission-planning workflows, and other real-time user interfaces for space operations.
- Integrate legacy systems with new space systems and scale mission capabilities for different users and customers.
- Collaborate across teams to plan, build, test, troubleshoot, and root-cause complex functionality.
- Partner with end-users to translate mission needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
- Develop reliable SaaS or on-premise solutions and contribute quality code across the team’s applications.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background from industry or school in areas such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- At least 5 years of professional programming experience with relevant frontend JavaScript frameworks.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, React, and TypeScript, plus experience with real-time interfaces using reactive programming libraries such as RxJS.
- Experience understanding complex systems, solving technical problems with limited oversight, and working with large enterprise applications requiring high availability.
- Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training materials.
- Ability to empathize with end-users and balance user experience with engineering constraints.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Kubernetes, spacecraft software systems, spacecraft operations, satellite mission autonomy, space software standards, modular software services, and startup-like environments.
