Base Salary

$121k - $171k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced technology initiatives as a senior individual contributor across the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, modernize, and support business-critical Credit Risk and Capital Markets systems.
  • Re-engineer monolithic applications into scalable, cloud-native microservices architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and coaching to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Partner with global software engineering, business analysis, DevOps, and support teams.
  • Ensure applications meet resilience, performance, security, availability, regulatory, and enterprise risk standards.
  • Contribute to cloud migration, platform modernization, and strategic architectural decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong Core Java experience with object-oriented design, concurrent and multithreaded programming, Java internals, JVM memory management, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with distributed caching technologies such as GridGain, Oracle Coherence, Redis, or equivalent.
  • Database expertise with relational databases, preferably Oracle, and NoSQL technologies, preferably MongoDB.
  • Experience re-engineering large monolithic applications into microservices architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, Flink, cloud platforms, Linux/Unix, and scripting.
  • Experience with Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, secure coding toolkits, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Devin.
  • Understanding of highly resilient, low-latency, enterprise-scale systems and Capital Markets, Derivatives, Credit Risk, and Risk Management.
  • 6+ years of relevant application development or systems analysis experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in systems analysis, design, and software engineering, including delivery of complex technology initiatives.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise in at least one application development area and demonstrated mentoring experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, ownership, leadership, and project management capabilities.
