Responsibilities
- Develop and support embedded software for battery-management systems, electrified products, and automotive applications.
- Work with BMS algorithms including state of charge, state of health, battery diagnostics, thermal monitoring, and cell balancing.
- Apply automotive diagnostics, communication protocols, functional safety, cybersecurity, and AUTOSAR concepts.
- Perform software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, simulation, and HIL testing.
- Support products across their complete lifecycle, including sustainment and obsolescence management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and transfer specialized knowledge between India and Mexico.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, embedded systems, or software product support.
- Experience developing embedded software in C or C++.
- Experience with RTOS-based systems, microcontroller platforms, and embedded communication interfaces.
- Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Preferred experience with BMS for lithium-ion batteries, high-voltage battery systems, SOC/SOH algorithms, and battery communication networks.
- Preferred familiarity with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, MATLAB/Simulink, HIL testing, Vector tools, and automotive microcontroller platforms.
- Preferred experience with CAN FD, UDS Diagnostics, J1939, Automotive Ethernet, Embedded Linux, Git, Jira, Azure DevOps, and automated build or test environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
