Base Salary
$127k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement data integration strategies.
- Apply data modeling, testing, validation, documentation, coding, and data quality standards.
- Conduct impact analysis, participate in code reviews, and communicate application changes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and propose effective solutions.
- Operate autonomously on large-scale, complex data projects while anticipating performance, edge-case, and data-quality risks.
- Connect technical solutions to business needs and contribute innovative ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of data engineering experience.
- Programming proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark, along with knowledge of data modeling and SQL/NoSQL database management.
- Experience designing scalable batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
- Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Fluency with AI tools and ADLC.
- Working knowledge of Databricks and experience with Apache Spark.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and MSK.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality enforcement, environment management, Airflow, dbt, and Dagster.
- Ability to reside in or relocate to the greater Southfield, Michigan; greater Bellevue, Washington; or San Francisco Bay Area hub locations.
